(Including the wards of Moreton and Knightley)

Our Mission is to improve the quality of life for those who live and work in the Parish of Gnosall and those who visit it.

Previous Revision(s)Gnosall Parish Council had an uncontested election.  Three councillors, Cllr Maggie Hughes, Cllr Derek Watson-Jones and Cllr Dave Willetts, did not stand again this time and therefore we have three vacancies to fill.    I thank retiring councillors for all their help with Parish Council work and projects during their time as a councillor especially Cllr Watson-Jones who has been a councillor for over 55 years.

Where an insufficient number of persons are nominated to fill all vacancies in respect of an ordinary election, provided the number of nominations constitutes a quorum the parish council has to co-opt any person or persons to fill the vacancies which remain unfilled.  This has to be done within 35 days from the day of the elections.  The new Parish Council takes office with effect from the 4th day after 7th May 2015 and has until 26th June to co-opt suitable people to fill the vacancies.    If the Parish Council fails to fill the vacancies then Stafford Borough Council may then exercise its power to order a fresh election to fill the remaining vacancies.
