Questionnaire Feedback Report

The Neighbourhood Plan Working Group has completed a detailed analysis of the responses in the returned questionnaires.  The total number of completed questionnaires returned was 515 [~25% of households]; 356 from families and 156 from individuals.  Only three businesses responded.  All live in the Parish of Gnosall except the three businesses responding. Most questionnaires were completed by residents in the older age group which may reflect the demographic breakdown within the parish. Analysis charts have been produced from the returns regarding community facilities, environment, housing etc.  For example, the health facilities were rated excellent/good while employment opportunities rated as poor.  Parking and traffic through the village were major issues which need to be addressed. The use of open space for walking and outdoor activities featured prominently in the returns as did sports activities. With regard to housing, this was rated as good overall and respondents indicated their preferences for ‘New Build’ with the highest demand being for two bedroom bungalows. A formal ‘Call for Sites’ for potential building of houses and business/light industrial premises will be made soon via Stafford Borough Council and Gnosall Parish Council.  It must be made clear however that this will be simply a call for sites, it is not a guarantee that any sites will be allocated.  Any sites put forward will to be subject to further local public consultation, singly or jointly, as part of the neighbourhood planning process.  In the meantime, anyone with land they would like to be considered may contact the Clerk to Gnosall Parish Council informally and in privateThe first report is attached. This will be followed by a later addendum. Click 'Read More' to view the report Read PDF (Image)
