Corona Virus Update (11th Aug)

The Parish Council continues to monitor guidelines in relation to the use of recreation facilities.

Coronavirus has not gone away.  It is still circulating in Staffordshire's communities and if we let our guard down we will see cases rise and the potential need for local lockdown measures.   To protect our community and livelihoods please make sure you are following Government guidance to keep everyone safe.

The boardwalk remains a one-way route from the play area car park to the allotments car park.  Unfortunately, signage displayed to inform users gets removed which is disappointing.   More suitable signage is being sourced.   Please respect the one-way system.

Play parks, MUGA, Tennis Court, Outdoor Gym:

All facilities remain open. New rules have been imposed and are clearly displayed on notices (and on the council's website).  Users of the equipment do so at their own choice and risk.  The council is unable to constantly clean the facilities and encourage the use of hand gel by users.  Users are to maintain appropriate social distancing.  The Council reserves the right to close the parks should it be necessary but it is hoped that will be a last resort and users will act responsibly.

Grosvenor Centre

Guidelines will be reviewed this month to determine whether or not it is viable to open in the coming weeks.

Library

Plans are in hand for the reopening of the library on the 24th August’.

Enjoy the rest of the summer holidays 🌞
